Walking through the streets of the Roman capital is always an enchantment, so many surprises await us at every corner: sometimes a church or a basilica, sometimes a musician playing for passersby and tourists, in a square surrounded by centuries-old and imposing buildings. Between the pagan and the sacred, the streets of Rome, often paved, connect each of the places that have made its reputation for over 2000 years.
From the Capitol, enjoy a 360-degree view of the city, from the Roman Curia to the Roman Forum, and stroll through the alleys under the shade of the umbrella pines. Obelisks are also numerous in Rome, and the Egyptian obelisk of the Montecitorio, located in front of the Parliament, is particularly impressive. Beyond all these monuments to discover, soak up the Romans’ joie de vivre, the simplicity with which any situation becomes a celebration: a simple shared ice cream or a few notes of music are enough to initiate the beginnings of the Dolce Vita.
