A seaside town on the Pacific coast northwest of Los Angeles, Malibu is famous for its surf spots and the beach homes of Hollywood stars. Far from the hustle and bustle of the City of Angels, downtown Malibu is simple yet hip, attracting a population of young surfers. Its main attraction lies in its natural treasures: white sandy beaches and Point Dume, the Santa Monica hills and, of course, the abundance of flora and fauna.
Don’t miss Zuma Beach and the famous Point Dume, two locations used in the filming of Planet of the Apes. The tranquil setting is perfect for long strolls along the beach, facing the ocean, from which you can reach Paradise Cove. Thousands of birds nest here, and you’ll be lulled to sleep by the steady sound of the waves. Don’t hesitate to take in the views from the Santa Monica hills, just a stone’s throw away.
