
Nestled in the heart of the Lofoten Islands, Sakrisøy is a fishing village that has preserved its authentic charm. This little corner of paradise, nestled at the foot of the imposing Mount Olstind, offers breathtaking scenery. The colorful houses typical of the region line the waterfront, creating an idyllic picture that is often photographed. Sakrisøy is a true haven of peace where you can enjoy the wilderness: hiking, fishing, birdwatching… There’s no shortage of activities.
In winter, the village is decked out in all its finery as the Northern Lights arrive. Visitors can stay in rorbuer, fishermen’s huts ideal for discovering the changing nature of Lofoten in a traditional, authentic setting. Sakrisøy offers a unique gastronomic experience, closely linked to the riches of the sea. Fresh fish is undeniably the king of the small island’s tables. Cod is particularly prized. Dried, salted or fresh, it comes in a multitude of recipes to delight the taste buds.
