Bois des Amourettes, Trou d’Eau Douce, Poudre d’Or, Petit Gamin, Grande Rosalie, Rivière Dragon, Sans Souci, Plaisance, Cachette, Sottise… Like its map and place names, Mauritius is a poetic island. A trail that can be followed with the touch of a dream, and explored like a melting pot of moods, fantasies and adventures…

An explosion of green, jade, turquoise, white, emerald, indigo and red: the tones of the lagoon encircled by foam, of the beaches slumbering to infinity, of the scrap roads winding between the Creole huts or the large planter’s houses, both precarious and valiant, and always a little faded, a little melancholy… A multi-faceted palette for a mixed, cosmopolitan, tolerant island, where the spire of the church soars as straight as the minaret of the mosque and the polychrome roof of the Tamil temple.

Inland, beyond the cane fields, the former hunting grounds are havens of chlorophyll where you can enjoy golf, quad biking, mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, canyoning… Here, a 150-metre waterfall; there, a curious piton topped by a monolith; further on, luxuriant gorges or a land of seven colors… Yes, Mauritius is all of these things: a sesame for a dream of elsewhere, whether tropical, cultural or sporting; an encounter with a people and a way of life; a great bath in nature, light and kindness… A real little piece of paradise!
