Situated in Nevada’s Mojave Desert, Las Vegas is best known for its lively nightlife, 24-hour casinos and plenty of entertainment. But Las Vegas is also lively all day long, and is a very safe city in which to stroll, store or dine out. From the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign at the southern end of the Strip, visit the themed casinos that line this world-famous avenue. From the Luxor pyramid to the Bellagio fountains, from the Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower to the huge New York-New York, there’s plenty to keep you entertained. Looking for a thrill? Then take a seat on the Big Apple Coaster, a spectacular roller coaster that will give you plenty of scares. Don’t hesitate to enter the casino hotels for a visit – great things await you inside, even if you don’t play at the casino. Don’t miss The Linq promenade, a pedestrian avenue ideal for shopping and dining.
Las Vegas is a cosmopolitan city offering a diverse cuisine to suit all tastes. Traditional American cuisine is of course well represented in Las Vegas, but the city is also home to a wide variety of international restaurants. You’ll find restaurants serving Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican and much more. Top restaurants include Guy Savoy, a Michelin-starred French restaurant serving classic French cuisine; Joël Robuchon, another Michelin-starred French restaurant; Morimoto Las Vegas, a Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant serving Japanese fusion cuisine; The Modern Steak, an American restaurant serving top-quality steaks. Excellent buffets are an ideal compromise for groups, such as at the Wynn Las Vegas or the Bellagio.
