At the far end of the island of Vega, opposite Søla, the hike up the Vegatrappa steps is of medium difficulty and offers incredible views over the archipelago. It takes around 1,500 steps to reach the top of Ravnfloget. This hike, which can also be done via ferrata, is built around a wooden staircase with regular steps and numerous rest areas for catching your breath and contemplating the landscape. Arrival at the top offers spectacular views of all the surrounding islets, dotted in turquoise waters. The return journey takes the same route (beware of the descent for those prone to vertigo). This hike is not recommended in wet or snowy weather.
The hike to Vegatrappa was made on August 16, 2024.
