- Cumulative ascent: 421 meters
- Duration: 3h00
- Low point: Parking Vestvågøy Restplads (15 m) / High point: Offersøykammen (436 m)
- Difficulty: 2/5 / Technical: 1/5
The trail starts along the E10 from Leknes, about 900 meters after the bridge over Offersøystraumen. The most convenient parking is at Vestvågøy Restplads, just before the tunnel. From the parking lot, take the path between the trees, heading north-west, until you reach an area of very short vegetation. You pass Lake Dalvatnet before turning slightly to the right and the slope becomes much steeper as you cross superb arctic moorland. Shortly before the summit, the slope becomes gentler and you discover the almost four-hundred-metre plunging view over the crystal-clear Norwegian Sea, the white sandy beaches and the surrounding mountains! The descent follows the same route.
The hike to Offersøykammen was made on August 21, 2024.
