Imagine an archipelago of 1,700 islands stretching over 240 km of turquoise sea, where the sun shines all year round and white sand beaches line crystal-clear waters. This is the spectacle offered by the Keys archipelago, in the very south of Florida. These islands boast a rich history and unique culture, with Native American, Spanish and Cuban influences.
From Key Largo to Key West, a road links the main islands, offering breathtaking scenery. Beaches, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling – the many activities on offer are, of course, all sea-oriented. At the very end of the Overseas Highway, like a gift, we discover Key West, famous for its wooden houses, its illustrious characters such as Ernest Hemingway, but above all for its festive atmosphere. In the evenings, street performers, musicians and street shows enliven Duval Street, creating a friendly, lively atmosphere. The street, often crowded with tourists, features a mix of architectural styles, from wooden buildings to Art Deco edifices, testimony to Key West’s rich history.
