
Eggum is a small fishing village on the island of Vestvågøy, in Norway’s Lofoten archipelago. This village of 57 inhabitants is a haven of peace, where time seems to stand still. Eggum is renowned for its authentic atmosphere and calm. The inhabitants are warm and welcoming, and visitors can discover the traditional fishing culture. The village is also an ideal starting point for numerous hikes in the surrounding area. But Eggum is best known for being one of the best places in the world to see the northern lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer. Eggum beach is a magical place to admire these natural phenomena.
