Located between Hollywood and Santa Monica, north of Los Angeles, Beverly Hills is world-famous as the chic home of many movie and music stars. The capital of luxury, wealth and fame, the neighborhood (which is in fact a city in its own right) has been the setting for numerous Hollywood productions, such as Pretty Woman, when Julia Roberts goes shopping on Rodeo Drive.
Taking its name from the fact that it was a horse track until the 50’s, Rodeo Drive is said to be the most expensive street in the world, and concentrates luxury boutiques of the most prestigious brands, such as Armani, Chanel, Gucci, Cartier, Dior, Hermès, Versace, Vuitton, etc. It’s a pleasure to stroll along the boulevards, from which emerge a feeling of luxury, calm and voluptuousness: big cars, fine clothes, valet parking in front of every boutique – a world apart!
At the entrance to Beverly Hills, Beverly Gardens Park, created in 1911, boasts a number of remarkable art sculptures and specialized gardens, including the Cactus Garden and the Rose Garden. You won’t want to miss the famous Beverly Hills sign, enthroned above a fountain, where it’s traditional to have your photo taken.
