Whether on foot or aboard the famous streetcar 28, Lisbon can be explored through its small streets and alleyways, often on slopes, where you’ll discover a thousand and one treasures. At the bend of a church, the corner of a café, the extension of a monument, the view and atmosphere are unique. Lisbon has the ability to amaze even the most jaded traveler: its different districts (Barrio Alto, Chiado, Baixa, Alfama…) are extremely diverse, but all reflect the same art of living and the warmth that animates the people of Lisbon.
Lively from dusk onwards, the city is packed with pubs and bars where you can meet up after a day of discovery, wandering up and down the 7 hills. The lights sparkle and the Sao Jorge castle imposes its watchful eye on a city that has long been coveted. Let yourself be carried away between wide avenues and narrow streets, and at the end of the day descend to the Tagus to contemplate the enchanting spectacle of the sunset, with the April 25th bridge almost blending into the horizon.
This visit to Lisbon took place from September 21 to 23, 2012.
