
The Norwegian fishing village of Henningsvær is located on the Lofoten archipelago, north of the Arctic Circle. With its 500 inhabitants, this village is one of the most picturesque in the country. Nicknamed the “Venice of the North” because of the canals that run through it, Henningsvær is made up of small islands linked by bridges. Its traditional fishermen’s houses made of colorful wood and its mountain scenery make it a unique place. Henningsvær is renowned for its authentic atmosphere and fishing-based economy. Visitors can enjoy fresh fish in local restaurants and discover the traditional fishing culture. The village is also famous for its soccer club and stadium, both located on islets.
