Founded in April 1923 by 4 brothers, Warner Bros. Studios has become a pillar of the Hollywood film industry. A pioneer of talking pictures with the film The Jazz Singer, the studios enjoyed a century of success with films (Full Metal Jacket, Inception, The Green Line, Gran Torino, Shining, Harry Potter…), series (Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Dallas…) and animated films (Bugs Bunny in particular). For fans of the 7th art, the tour lasts almost 2 hours (one hour with the guide and one hour on your own among the exhibits), to discover the filming locations, the equipment and some of the studios’ little secrets.
In a buggy, the guide takes us to the studios’ various iconic locations, explaining how the sets are used and reused, and all the preparatory work involved prior to filming. Focusing mainly on hit shows such as Friends or The Big Bang Theory (sets in which a photo is a must), the tour takes in working studios where you might meet actors, but where some locations are of course closed to the public. An interesting discovery that complements those of Universal Studios and Paramount Studios.
Warner Bros Hollywood Studios was visited on March 30, 2023.
