A small coastal town south of Los Angeles, not far from the airport, Manhattan Beach offers a breath of fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. Its main attraction is, of course, its beach, where surfers abound and the promenade known as The Strand delights the locals. Less touristy than Santa Monica, for example, the beach is calm and offers pleasant moments of tranquillity for lounging or swimming. After watching a game of beach volleyball, you can walk down to the Manhattan Beach Pier, shop in one of the many boutiques or enjoy a delicious meal on a restaurant terrace. As you can see, Manhattan Beach is an ideal place to take your time and enjoy the simple things that are typical of the Californian way of life.
