Perched at an altitude of 1,449 meters, the village of Täsch has a population of around 1,000. It is located 6 km from Zermatt, a tourist destination famous worldwide for its majestic emblem, the Matterhorn. Travelers leave their cars in the parking lots and then take the shuttle train to Zermatt, a 15-minute ride.
But Täsch also offers great opportunities for sports and relaxation. In summer, mountaineers start their high-altitude hikes in the Mischabel massif here. In winter, the village invites cross-country skiers to glide along its 15 km of trails.
